Fr Denis was born in Co. Cork in Ireland and was educated in Wales. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister all married with grown up children. He was ordained Priest in June 1975 by Bishop Dominic Conway in the Chapel of All Hallows College, Dublin. Since then Fr Denis has spent 5 years as Dean in Northampton Cathedral and has worked in various Parishes within the Diocese including Barton, Shefford and Sundon Park . He is a member of a Chapter of Canons that dates back to 1850

Fr Denis has many hobbies from playing the piano to reading. He particularly enjoys history and has broadcast a number of history programmes on Northampton radio, each lasted about a quarter of an hour but took hours of preparation. He also loves restoring pre war telephones and gramophones. He is a keen motorcyclist and is a member of the Ace Cafe Club London and the famous 59 Club his first bike was a BSA but his present machine is a Trimuph Rocket III.
