Hello my name is Canon Denis McSweeney and welcome to our website. We are located 3 miles from Junction 12 on the M1, through the village of Westoning on the A5120. Built in 1982 during the year of the Papal visit - the Church has a friendly atmosphere. The building is bright and welcoming. We have an active community of around 320 parishioners. The Parish boundary extends to the A6 and to the A428, including the villages of Westoning, Maulden, Silsoe, Lidlington, Steppingley and Marston Moretaine. Later as you look through the website you will get a glimpse of parish life. Up until 1999 the parish was served by priests of the Sacred Heart Order (Malpas Cheshire). It is now staffed by the Northampton Diocese.
I've been parish priest here since January 2006. It's a wonderful community with lots of talent and willing interest and help. It is also a great joy to have such strong local ecumenical contacts with the Anglican, Baptist and Methodist Churches .
